Design Evaluation

When a new product is being prepared for market, it is essential that there be no undesirable side effects related to vibration. Innovative testing of new or existing products is attained by understanding the potential problems and designing specific tests to determine the presence and severity of the potential problem area.

Many of our tests for Design Evaluation include accelerometers installed inside sleeves, allowing detailed measurement of vibration characteristics in actual operating conditions, as well as in test tanks. For certain problems, vibration may mapped as a function of operating speed and diameter, allowing for straightforward optimization of a design. In other instances, structures have been redesigned to eliminate vibration problems.
