Jake has a M.A.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and 35 years of experience in research, development and consulting. This includes working in the research department of the world’s largest newsprint company, and as president of the consulting company Spectrum Technologies.

His expertise includes heat transfer, vibration, modal analysis, flow induced vibration, shock and self-excited vibration. He brings a strong technical skill set along with a thorough understanding of process industries. His emphasis has been to add value to the operations by utilizing these skills.

Much of the work done has been related to dynamics both vibrational and pressure pulsation related. This has given him exceptional skills in the collection and interpretation of data related to vibration including rotating machinery analysis, modal analysis, operating deflection shape analysis and pressure pulsation analysis. He has collaborated with experts in the fields of passive and active damping, self-excited vibration, flow induced vibration and process control.

Daniel Zwart has a M.A.Sc. in Mechatronics Engineering. He brings vibration test techniques into heavy industry, combining vibration and process knowledge for automotive and machining clients. He has utilized standard and advanced vibration techniques; is competent in controls, troubleshooting and safety validations; and has developed unique test instrumentation analysis algorithms to aid in finding solutions to complex vibration problems.
